This policy applies to all personnel engaged by WorkRedi including the Director/Principal Consultant, Rehabilitation Consultants, Employees, Contractors and Operational Support personnel. This policy applies to all personal information collected in the course of delivering workplace rehabilitation services.

4. Policy Statement
WorkRedi is committed to protecting the privacy of workers, employers and other stakeholders involved in workplace rehabilitation services. Personal information will be collected, used and disclosed only for legitimate purposes related to service delivery and will be handled in accordance with legal and ethical obligations.
5. Collection of Personal Information
Personal information may be collected directly from workers, employers, insurers or other authorised stakeholders.
Information collected may include:
- Contact details
- Employment information
- Injury and medical information
- Rehabilitation service documentation
- Communication records related to case management
6. Consent
Where required, informed consent will be obtained before collecting or sharing personal or sensitive information.
Workers will be informed about:
- What information is being collected
- Why the information is required
- Who the information may be shared with
- Their right to withdraw consent where applicable
Consent may be obtained through signed consent forms, referral documentation and written or verbal consent.
7. Use of Personal Information
Personal information will be used only for purposes related to workplace rehabilitation services, including:
- Coordinating rehabilitation activities
- Communicating with relevant stakeholders
- Preparing reports and documentation
- Supporting return to work planning
8. Disclosure of Personal Information
Personal information may be disclosed to authorised parties involved in the rehabilitation process. Information will only be disclosed where necessary for rehabilitation purposes and in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.

WorkRedi will take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

- Restricted access to case files
- Secure storage of paper records
- Secure and confidential disposal of records when no longer required
9. Access and Correction
Individuals may request access to personal information held about them and request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information where appropriate. Requests for access or correction should be made in writing to the Director/Principal Consultant. Where access is refused, reasons will be provided.
Access may be refused where:
- It would pose a serious threat to health or safety
- It would unreasonably impact another person’s privacy
- It is otherwise permitted under the Privacy Act
10. Privacy Complaints
